Heart 30th Anniversary Radio Special

On The Strip Radio Network (OSN) has announced completion of the Heart 30th Anniversary Radio Special, a newly completed two-hour radio special commemorating the 30th Anniversary of the release of the Heart’s debut album “Dreamboat Annie”.

With album sales of over 30 million copies since 1976, Heart continues to draw huge crowds on the road with one of the most loyal fan bases (fans are known as “Heart Mongers”) in music. Led by sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson, Heart songs continue to be a staple of rock radio everywhere.

The first hour of the Heart 30th Anniversary Radio Special focuses on their most recent release, Dreamboat Annie Live, a concert performance of their landmark debut album, along with covers of Pink Floyd, The Who, and Led Zeppelin songs that influenced the making of the album. Dreamboat Annie Live is available on DVD and CD as the first releases in Shout Factory’s “Legendary Albums Live” series. The program also features interviews and songs from Hope & Glory, the first-ever solo album by Heart vocalist Ann Wilson, out now on Zoë/Rounder Records. Rounding out the program are newly recorded interviews with the Wilson sisters, along with never-before-heard archival interviews, which date back as far as 1976.

To honor their commitment to create programming that truly addresses the needs of radio in the 21st century, OSN is making available a second "bonus" hour: Heart’s Salute to Led Zeppelin and Classic Rock. Led Zeppelin songs have been a staple of Heart shows from their earliest tours, and both the new Heart album and Ann Wilson’s solo album feature versions of classic Zep songs. This second “bonus” hour may be used on stations’ terrestrial broadcasts with the first hour of the show, on their HD Radio multicast channels, or for broadcast on the web via their station website.
