for Broadcast Nationwide October 2007

On The Strip Radio Network has announced completion of Clapton, a two-hour radio special in conjunction with the release of Eric Clapton’s official autobiography Clapton: The Autobiography, from Broadway Books. The special to be made available to radio stations in October.

Recognized as the most accomplished and influential guitarist in the history of rock, Eric Clapton is a sixteen-time Grammy winner and the only triple inductee into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame (as a member of both The Yardbirds and Cream, and as a solo artist).

The two-hour radio retrospective was meticulously researched, and used extensive interview material that has never been previously aired.  The program features in depth interviews, rare recordings and music spanning his entire career, from the Yardbirds, John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers, Cream, Blind Faith, Delaney & Bonnie and Friends, Derek & the Dominos, as well as his storied solo career, to the historic Cream reunion shows, to the monumental Crossroads Guitar Festivals.

This unique, intimate, and first and only personal, reflective look at the living rock legend offers unprecedented access to the man behind the legend, as well as his music. Produced by Santa Monica, CA based On The Strip Radio Network, the program will be available for broadcast the week of October 13, 2007 through October 20, 2007.
